Learning the Quran is not only a skill — it is one of the most rewarded acts in Islam. Here are a few authentic texts with a short explanation of each.
The best of people
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it" (Bukhari 5027). Every lesson you attend, and every letter you teach your child, is part of this honour.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَرْفَعُ بِهَذَا الْكِتَابِ أَقْوَامًا وَيَضَعُ بِهِ آخَرِينَ
“Allah raises some people by this Book and lowers others by it.”
An intercessor on the Day of Judgement
"Read the Quran, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for its companions" (Muslim 804). A "companion" of the Quran is the one who reads it regularly and lives by it.
